About

What is Joy in Less? For me, Joy in Less is a place to slow down. Life can get loud, full of distractions, pressure, and the pull to do more, have more, be more. I needed a place to step back, take a breath, and notice what really matters. Choosing less isn’t about living with nothing; it’s about clearing away life’s excess.

That’s what this site is about: exploring simplicity, letting go of what weighs us down, and discovering the joy in less–the kind of joy that comes from living with a little more intention.

Inside This Space

This isn’t a blog full of rules or perfection. It’s more like a quiet space for thoughts and reflections on living lighter. Sometimes that means simplicity, sometimes it’s just a shift in perspective. My hope is that when you read something here, you leave with:

  • a little calm,
  • a fresh perspective, or
  • simply the reminder that “less” really can be enough.

Meet Justin

Hello. I’m Justin, the person behind Joy in Less. I didn’t start this blog with a master plan. Honestly, I just needed a place to put my thoughts.

I’ve always been drawn to simplicity. Too much stuff, whether in my head or at home, makes me restless. Writing helps me sort through it all and pay attention to what matters.

My faith in God shapes that perspective too. This isn’t strictly a Christian blog, but my writing is influenced by the values I hold–things like gratitude, humility, and the sense of peace that goes deeper than the things we own.

I don’t have it all figured out, and I’m not trying to tell anyone how to live. I’m just sharing what I notice along the way.

If you’ve been carrying the weight of too much or life feels a little overwhelming, I hope this space gives you a moment to breathe.

Either way, welcome in. I’m glad you’re here.
